Hundreds of Central Florida students and individuals preparing to enter the workforce will have expanded and enhanced access to financial education and resources, thanks to a new partnership announced this week by CareerSource Central Florida and Addition Financial Credit Union.

Through the partnership agreement, Addition Financial becomes a preferred financial partner of CareerSource Central Florida youth programming initiatives, including their Summer Youth and High School Career Express programs.

“CareerSource Central Florida is honored to receive a sponsorship from Addition Financial to support youth in our community,” said Pam Nabors, President & CEO, CareerSource Central Florida. “The High School Career Express program provides students with interactive exploration in different industries such as finance, healthcare, information technology, hospitality, and the public sector. This innovative program develops practical skills and helps students make informed decisions about their future.”

Addition Financial will support CareerSource Central Florida’s mission and impact on the lives of local youth and the community by engaging with students at numerous career- readiness events and financial literacy workshops.

“Joining the workforce is a critical part of a young person’s financial journey and Addition Financial is proud to work beside CareerSource Central Florida to ensure that students have everything they need to succeed,” said Richard Barbari, Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager, Addition Financial Credit Union. “Whether it is helping students find savings products that make sense for them, or how to understand their credit score, being a financial resource for them is part of our mission we take to heart.”

Aside from financial education, Addition Financial Credit Union will also provide information and guidance to students about youth account options, including their revamped Youth Savings account, Student Checking account, and co-branded High School debit cards.
