Five Credit Unions Announce Promotions and One Credit Union Employee Recognized With Credit Union Spirit Award

Maine State Credit Union announces the promotion of two of its employees, Alliant Credit Union announced the appointment of four members to its Board of Directors, and an employee of Members First Credit Union was recognized with a Credit Union Spirit Award.

New Hires

  • Corporate Central proudly welcomes Mari Sommer as the newest addition to its team, assuming the role of Marketing and Events Coordinator. With a commitment to elevating the Corporate Central brand, Sommer brings her experience with strategic marketing and dynamic event coordination to the forefront. Sommer’s responsibilities will encompass a pivotal role in shaping Corporate Central’s identity through innovative marketing initiatives and seamless event execution. Collaborating closely with the marketing team, she will craft compelling email marketing and social media campaigns tailored to resonate with the credit union’s diverse audience. Her meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills will ensure that each event reflects the professionalism and integrity synonymous with Corporate Central.

  • Brianna Dailey has joined the LLCU team as Bloomington’s Branch Manager. Brianna Dailey began her career in financial institutions as a teller at Marine Bank and First State Bank. Dailey then began as a teller at Illinois State Credit Union and rapidly worked her way up to become Branch Manager. Brianna is excited to learn more about LLCU and about the opportunity to get to know the membership in the Bloomington area.

Recognitions

  • The Mid-Michigan Chapter of Credit Unions has named Members First Credit Union’s Director of First Impressions, Mary Williamson, as the Credit Union Spirit Award recipient. The Credit Union Spirit Award is a testament to an individual who exemplifies unwavering dedication to credit union principles and goes above and beyond to promote the philosophy of the credit union movement.

  • The Louisiana Credit Union League’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) presented Andie Panepinto with Instep Federal Credit Union the 2023 Young Professional of the Year Award during its annual workshop. Her remarkable career in the credit union industry began as a teller and has seen her ascend through various roles, including loan officer and marketing representative. Notably, she played a key role in leading her credit union through a successful rebranding from NAS JRB CU to Instep FCU.

  • In a special presentation, the Board of Directors of State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) honored Financial Services Manager Rose Skinner for 50 years of SECU service. Skinner is the first employee in the cooperative’s history to reach this incredible career milestone. Nearly 100 Credit Union employees and volunteers gave Skinner a standing ovation as SECU Board Chair Mona Moon presented her with a framed Board Resolution acknowledging her many contributions and her tremendous dedication to SECU members and the organization.

Promotions

  • Maine State Credit Union is excited to announce the expansion of its commercial lending team and the promotions of Bruce Harrington, to Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending and Brandon Clark to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending. “Over the past seven years, Bruce has built up a robust commercial and small business lending team,” said Stephen Wallace, CEO and President of Maine State Credit Union. "They are focused on helping Maine's business owners grow and drive Maine's economy while staying true to the values of the Credit Union industry." With expertise in lending and knowledge of the Augusta market, Brandon Clark joined as a commercial lender in 2023 and has been promoted to Assistant Vice President this year. He will continue to focus on the Augusta area and work with Charland to drive growth in the mid-coast region.

  • Tinker Federal Credit Union (TFCU) recently promoted Lindsey DeVore to assistant vice president/manager, human resources operations. In her role, DeVore will spearhead initiatives to enhance employees’ experience within TFCU. With a focus on fostering employee engagement and motivation, she will play a pivotal role in cultivating a positive culture throughout the credit union.

  • Land of Lincoln Credit Union (LLCU) announced that Sherie Wilkinson has been promoted to Branch Operations Manager over both Effingham branch locations. Sherie Wilkinson has been with LLCU for just over 2 years. Wilkinson has 19 years of experience in the financial industry serving in positions like Teller, Teller Supervisor, Operations Manager, Sales, and Branch Management. Sherie looks forward to growing with LLCU, learning new skills, and creating and maintaining member relationships.

  • Greylock Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the promotion of Nikki Jannicelli to branch manager of its North Adams branch on Ashland Street. In her role, Jannicelli oversees all activities for the North Adams branch, manages the location’s staff of seven, and plays an active role in business development. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, originating mortgage and home equity loans, overseeing branch compliance, originating and underwriting consumer loans, and maintaining a wide variety of member accounts.

  • Robins Financial Credit Union proudly announces the promotion of Shane Reagan to the position of Vice President of Consumer Lending. Shane has worked for the credit union for 31 years. During his time, he has progressed through various roles, most recently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Consumer Lending. In his new role, Shane will lead the strategic vision and operational oversight of consumer lending activities helping to drive the credit union’s growth and success.

  • Robins Financial Credit Union proudly announces the promotion of Clay A. Nodes to Director of Facilities. Nodes has dedicated the last 15 years to being the Facilities Manager at Robins Financial. In his new capacity as Director of Facilities, Nodes will maintain his oversight of the Facility Department’s day-to-day operations while also spearheading broader strategies like project management for new construction and long-term projects focused on the maintenance and security of credit union buildings and properties.

  • Alliant Credit Union, a leader in digital banking and one of the largest credit unions in the nation, announces the appointment of four members to its board of directors. These additions to Alliant's board bring vast expertise spanning from leaders in the financial services industry to trailblazers in the technology and digital customer service space to guide the credit union's continued innovation, tech-forward approach, economic growth and member-centric mission.

The recently appointed board members:

  • Woody Woodring, served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Trust Financial Corporation before retiring in 2022.

  • Deepak Khandelwal, a Corporate Director and former C-level executive with over 30 years of experience in large global companies, including Google, McKinsey, Rogers and CIBC.

  • Sarah Searls, the Senior Vice President of Global Digital at Marriot International, overseeing global digital strategy and execution for the brand's digital travel products.

  • David Tentinger, a former Global Financial Services Executive at Northern Trust with 35 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, strategy, client and business line management and capital markets.

  • Ashley White, SVP, Chief Marketing Officer at Pasadena-based Wescom Credit Union, has recently been appointed to the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Advisory Board. In early April, the Foundation welcomed four new members to their Board to support its continued growth efforts. As members of the volunteer Advisory Board, White, alongside Marc Brix, Nicole (Donahue) Ianni and Stephen Jones will support the overall Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation Board of Directors and its initiatives across the region and country through capital improvement raises, heritage and historical recognition, and educational programming through the Rose Bowl Institute. 

  • Everwise Credit Union is pleased to announce that Art Vasquez was elected to its Board of Directors during the credit union’s Annual Meeting last week. With extensive experience in healthcare leadership, finance, and community service, Vasquez brings a wealth of expertise to Everwise as he begins his three-year term. With this appointment, Vasquez became the ninth member of the Everwise Board of Directors.
