Georgia United Foundation Awards $17,500 in Scholarships to 12 High School Seniors

Georgia United Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Georgia United Credit Union, congratulates the 12 high school seniors who are winners of the organization’s 30th annual scholarship competition.

College, university and technical school-bound high school seniors were invited to compete for 12 scholarship grants. The students or their parents/grandparents must be Georgia United members. This year, there were 130 applicants.

These scholarships not only alleviate financial burdens but also symbolize the organization's belief in the transformative power of education to surmount barriers, defy odds, and forge pathways toward brighter futures.

The competition requires a one-minute video submission by the applicants explaining how they plan to use their education to contribute to their community.

“As we invest in the educational aspirations of deserving students through our scholarship program, we not only provide financial assistance but also unlock doors to boundless opportunities,” said Foundation Program Manager Haven Beavers. “We are proud to play a part in propelling their educational journeys forward and eagerly anticipate the positive ripple effects they’ll create within their communities and beyond.”
