NCUA, Census Bureau, to Co-Host April 25 Webinar on No-Cost Data Tools

Credit unions can learn about census-based data tools available at no cost on an April 25 webinar co-hosted by the National Credit Union Administration and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Online registration for this webinar, “Free Data Tools and Resources Available to Credit Unions,” is now open. The webinar is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern and is expected to run one hour.

Adam Grundy, supervisory statistician with the U.S. Census Bureau, will review two useful tools and demonstrate their use:

  • The Census Business Builder, a suite of services providing demographic and economic data.

  • My Community Explorer, which offers a combination of demographic, business, and community resilience data to help credit unions identify potential underserved areas.

The webinar will be close captioned, and there is no charge. Participants will be able to log in and view the event on their computers or mobile devices using the registration link. They should allow pop-ups from this website.

Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance by emailing WebinarQuestions@ncua.gov. The email’s subject line should read, “Census Data Tools.” Please email technical questions about accessing the webinar to either uccwebinar@ncua.gov or uccsupport@ncua.gov.

This webinar will be archived on the NCUA’s Learning Management System following the live event. A Learning Management System account is required to view the archived webinar, and it also provides access to the NCUA’s other training and educational materials.
