Tinker FCU Members Win the Credit Union's First-Ever Storm Shelter Loan Payoff

Eber Diaz de Leon and his family from Coweta, OK are the big winners of TFCU’s 2022 Storm Shelter Loan Payoff promotion.

His loan was selected at random from all other TFCU active storm shelter loans in good standing, and his balance of $3,794 was paid in full. When asked what he thought when he learned he was the lucky winner, Eber said, “I didn’t believe it. I wanted to make sure it was true.”

After a tornado touched down near their home last year, Eber and his wife, Maria, purchased a storm shelter to protect their family from Oklahoma storms. The storm shelter company they used recommended Tinker Federal Credit Union for financing citing the credit union’s low rates.

With the payoff of their storm shelter loan, Eber and Maria expressed they greatly appreciate their hard-earned money can now go to other family and living expenses. TFCU’s annual Storm Shelter Loan Payoff is just one way the not-for-profit credit union gives back to members all year long.

TFCU is the largest credit union in Oklahoma, with over $5.8 billion in assets and more than 435,000 members.
